AIRSHOW-Eurofighter hopes next tranche to be signed in days

PARIS, June 17 (Reuters) - Eurofighter hopes to sign a deal on the next wave of orders for the combat jets within days, Chief Executive Enzo Casolini told Reuters Television at the Paris Air Show on Wednesday.
"We are still negotiating some detail in the contract. I presume that it's just a question of a short time to finalise it. I hope, days," Casolini said, referring to the so-called 3A tranche of Eurofighter orders.
Casolini added that customers were still committed to the full third tranche of Eurofighters.
"At the moment, the agreement stands," he said.
The Eurofighter contract was conceived 25 years ago and involves Germany, Spain, Italy and Britain building more than 600 high-peformance combat jets. The Eurofighter consortium comprises Britain's BAE Systems (BAES.L), Italy's Finmeccanica (SIFI.MI) and EADS (EAD.PA), representing Germany and Spain.
