(NASDAQ:ORBT - News), an electronics manufacturer and software solution provider, today announced that its Orbit Instrument Division received an order in excess of $600,000 for data entry panels for the mission control in the E-2 Hawkeye, the all weather carrier-capable Airborne Early Warning (AEW) aircraft, designed to give long-range warning of incoming aerial threats. Deliveries under this contract are expected to commence in the second quarter of 2011 and continue through the fourth quarter of 2011.

From an operating altitude above 25,000 feet, the E-2 Hawkeye provides data on approaching air threats and provides threat identification and positional data to fighter aircraft. The Hawkeye’s secondary roles include strike command and control for all aircraft carrier battle groups, surveillance, guidance of search and rescue missions for naval aviators.

(NASDAQ:ORBT - News), a defense and industrial electronics manufacturer, systems integrator and software solution provider, today announced that its Tulip Development Laboratory (“TDL”) subsidiary, located in Quakertown, PA, has signed a Supplier Partnering Agreement (“SPA”) with Synexxus Inc., (“Synexxus”), located in Arlington, VA for the exclusive right to manufacture and supply its color display in support of the Oberon V4 Electronic Keel System (“Oberon”) or any display derivative configuration, for a period of five (5) years. As previously announced, TDL will be demonstrating the Oberon V4 system at the AUSA Symposium and Exhibition, Fort Lauderdale, FL., from February 25 to 27. Oberon will also be on display and incorporated in another MRAP vehicle manufactured by a leading global defense contractor.
Synexxus, Inc. has successfully designed an open architecture data distribution and information system that has been designated as the Command, Control, Communication, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (“C4ISR”) system to be deployed in a number of MRAP vehicle configurations. Most recently, Oberon was selected for deployment in the Mine Resistant Ambush Protected-All Terrain Vehicle (MRAP-ATV) manufactured by the Oshkosh Corporation. For this particular system, TDL will provide two of its 15inch color displays for each MRAP-ATV vehicle that will be integrated with Oberon.

(NASDAQ:ORBT - News), a defense and industrial electronics manufacturer and software solution provider, today announced that its Tulip Development Laboratory (“TDL”) subsidiary, located in Quakertown, PA, will be demonstrating its color LCD displays that have been supporting the Synexxus Inc. (“Synexxus”) Oberon V4 Electronic Keel (“Oberon”) System at the AUSA Symposium and Exhibition. Synexxus, located in Arlington, VA, has successfully designed an open architecture data distribution and information system that can be rapidly reconfigured for changing missions, supporting ground vehicle, shipboard, and avionic defense electronic programs. The AUSA Symposium and Exhibition will be held at the Broward County Convention Center, Fort Lauderdale, FL from February 25 to 27. TDL will be demonstrating the Oberon system that has been designed for deployment in the Mine Resistant Ambush Protected-All Terrain Vehicle (MRAP-ATV) manufactured by Oshkosh Corporation.

(“Behlman”), has received an initial production order for a power supply used in the oil and gas services industry valued at approximately $152,000. Deliveries are expected in the first and second quarters of 2010.
The Company received an initial prototype order in May 2008 for the design of four (4) power supplies that were used by its customer to perform functions such as perforating, logging and cement and corrosion evaluation for the cased hole services tractor system. These units were subjected to extensive field testing, which was successfully completed and resulted in this initial production order. This new contract also includes additional engineering support to add CE Marking which will further increase the sales potential of these units to the European Community and other international markets. An additional $250,000 in orders are expected in the first half of 2010 and it is anticipated that this power supply has the potential of several years of additional revenue.

Orbit International Receives Additional Awards from NAVICP for Color Plasma Entry Panels

Potential for Retrofit Program Could Exceed $20 Million
HAUPPAUGE, N.Y.--On Thursday August 27, 2009, 8:45 am EDT (BUSINESS WIRE)--Orbit International Corp. (NASDAQ:ORBT - News), a defense electronics manufacturer, systems integrator and software solution provider, today announced that its Electronics Group continues to receive additional retrofit awards that now exceed $540,000 since January 2009. These awards are released from the U.S. Naval Inventory Control Point (NAVICP), Mechanicsburg, PA. for the manufacture of its Color Plasma Entry Panels (Color PEP). The Color PEPs were designed to replace older Orbit Plasma Entry Panels currently supporting UYQ-21 Naval console requirements. Deliveries under this contract are expected to commence in the fourth quarter 2009 and be completed by the first quarter 2010.
These continuing contract awards from NAVICP for the Color PEP are significant in that they represent further evidence that NAVICP is committed to a program under which soon to be obsolete Plasma Entry Panels will be replaced by the Color PEP, which was specifically designed as a low cost, enhanced capability end-of-life replacement for the Plasma Entry Panels originally designed by Orbit. The new Color PEPs, once installed, significantly upgrade the functionality and capabilities of all UYQ-21 consoles for U.S. and foreign fleet service.
These Color PEPs will continue to support an ongoing replacement program funded for the purpose of removing hardware that is too costly to repair, refurbish, or in some instances, older components are no longer procurable, making the Plasma Entry Panel obsolete to manufacture. The Company can now provide state-of-the-art hardware with enhanced capabilities as form fit replacement for the UYQ-21 consoles on board most U.S. Naval surface ships.

These units have had a successful history of providing the console operator with critical real time data for the Command Information and Control Room, as well as the Fire Control areas, for all U.S. Naval Cruisers, Destroyers, and Fleet Carriers utilizing the UYQ-21 console systems.”
Sunshine stated, “Since all of the UYQ-21 consoles currently on board each ship platform will remain operational on an extended deployment basis, this cost reduction retrofit initiative is aligned with the cost saving policies announced by the current administration. By extending the useful life of a previously commissioned ship by some 15-25 years, the Company anticipates a potential requirement for a significant number of Color PEPs.
