CONTRACTS
MISSILE DEFENSE AGENCY
            The Missile Defense Agency is announcing the award of a sole-source, incentive-based, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to Lockheed Martin Corp., Information Systems & Global Solutions, Gaithersburg, Md. (HQ0147-12-D-0003), with an estimated value of $980,000,000.  Under this follow-on contract, the contractor will develop, model, fabricate, integrate, test, verify, evaluate, validate, document, deliver, field, train, operate, sustain, and support updates and new capabilities to the command and control, battle management and communications element.  The work will be performed in Arlington, Va.  The ordering period is from Jan. 1, 2012 through Dec. 31, 2016.  Fiscal 2012 research, development, test and evaluation funds will be used to incrementally fund the initial orders.  This is not a Foreign Military Sales acquisition.  The Missile Defense Agency, Huntsville, Ala., is the contracting activity.

ARMY
            EADS North America, Inc., Arlington, Va., was awarded a $212,703,701 firm-fixed-price contract.  The award will provide for the modification of an existing contract to procure 39 production aircraft in support of the Army’s Light Utility Helicopter Program.  Work will be performed in Columbus, Miss., with an estimated completion date of Nov. 30, 2013.  One bid was solicited, with one bid received.  The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (W58RGZ-06-C-0194).

            Lockheed Martin Integrated System, Inc., Ellicott City, Md., was awarded a $53,360,078 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract.  The award will provide for the modification of an existing contract in support of Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization.  Work will be performed in Afghanistan and Ellicott City, Md., with an estimated completion date of Dec. 8, 2013.  Four bids were solicited, with two bids received.  The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., is the contracting activity (W91CRB-08-D-0024).

            General Dynamics Lands Systems & Armaments, Sterling Heights, Mich., was awarded a $59,886,502 firm-fixed-price contract.  The award will provide for the modification of an existing contract to procure Abrams M1A2 System enhancement packages and commander remote operated weapon stations.  Work will be performed in Lima, Ohio; Tallahassee, Fla.; Anniston, Ala.; Scranton, Pa.; and Sterling Heights, Mich., with an estimated completion date of June 30, 2013.  One bid was solicited, with one bid received.  The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (W56HZV-06-G-0006).

            Lockheed Martin Corp., Marietta, Ga., is being awarded a $38,415,000 firm-fixed-price contract for the government’s intent to award a contract modification to support the C-130J India FMS Program to Lockheed Martin.  The modification includes a weapon systems trainer (WST) project to include Phase I and II configuration, administration costs associated with the WST, on-site training, a visual display system, spares and support equipment to support the WST, and air shipment of WST.  The locations of the performance are Marietta, Ga., Orlando, Fla., and Tampa, Fla.  Work is expected to be completed by Dec. 19, 2012.  ASC/WLNNC, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (FA8625-06-6456/P00289).
