President Karzai buries slain brother in Kandahar

Afghan President Hamid Karzai arrived in Kandahar late on Tuesday for the funeral of his younger brother who was assassinated earlier in the day by the head of his own militia.

The Afghan president briefly climbed down into the grave of his brother and offered a short prayer during the funeral in the family’s ancestral village of Karz, 15 miles from Kandahar city.
