Toray wins 15-year deal to supply carbon fibre for Airbus

Defense News: TOKYO, May 10 (Reuters) - Japanese textile maker Toray Industries (3402.T) said on Monday it has signed a 15-year contract with Airbus (EAD.PA) to supply carbon fibre materials for the European firm's aircraft.

Toray plans to make an official announcement on the deal at 10 a.m. (0100 GMT), Toray spokesman Yoshitaka Yamagata said, adding that the company does not yet know how much the deal will be worth.

The total value of the deal is expected to reach as much as 200 billion yen to 300 billion yen ($2.18 billion-$3.28 billion), according to the Nikkei business daily. [ID:nTOE6480LU]
