Silicon Valley's Annual Tribute to Women Awards Program

Defense News:
SUNNYVALE, CA--(Marketwire - 05/20/10) - Marina Levinson, NetApp (NASDAQ:NTAP - News) CIO and senior vice president, was named an honoree by the YWCA of Silicon Valley in their Tribute to Women (TWIN) Awards program. The program, now in its 26th year, pays tribute to successful women executives for their outstanding achievements and recognizes the companies that employ them. The participants represent a cross-section of Silicon Valley companies in the technology, defense, communications, publishing, construction, and healthcare industries, among others. This is the second consecutive year that a NetApp executive has been honored by TWIN.

A panel of former TWIN honorees and prominent industry leaders selected Levinson, in part, for helping to scale NetApp's applications and infrastructure to support the company's growth, including the development of a next-generation data center in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. This groundbreaking data center showcases energy-efficient technology and techniques that will save NetApp an estimated $7 million a year and avoided producing an estimated 93,000 tons of carbon dioxide compared with other modern data centers. Levinson and the other Silicon Valley TWIN honorees will receive their awards at the TWIN Awards gala dinner on May 20, 2010, at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose, California.
