GREENBELT, Md., Sept. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- SGT, Inc., a leading provider of Engineering, Science, Project Management, and Information Technology services, today announced the appointment of Mr. Wayne Rustin to the position of Chief Human Resources Officer.
Mr. Rustin brings with him 25 years of industry experience managing and leading Human Resources organizations of Fortune 500 corporations. Prior to joining SGT, he held positions of leadership with IBM Corporation including his most recent as Director, Human Resources Business Partner for the Sales and Distribution Business Unit. While with IBM he designed and executed several workforce strategies and leadership development programs. Additionally he held the position of Director, Global Equal Opportunity, and Marketplace & Workplace Diversity where he led employee diversity initiatives.
Prior to joining IBM, Mr. Rustin had a 17-year career with J.C. Penney in positions of increasing responsibility including Vice President, Associate General Counsel, Government Relations; Vice President, Human Resources Counseling; Vice President of Human Resources Business Partner Catalog, Direct and Logistics.

Mr. Rustin is a former Municipal Court Judge for the City of Fort Worth, Texas, and a former adjunct professor at the University of Dallas, MBA School of Management. He began his career as a labor attorney with the National Labor Relations Board in Fort Worth, Texas.
Mr. Rustin is a former Board member of the Dallas, Texas Urban League and New Beginnings and is currently a member of the District of Columbia Bar and Texas Bar.
Mr. Rustin has a B.S. in Political Science from Virginia State University; J.D. from Howard University School of Law, and an L.L.M. in International and Comparative Law from Georgetown University.
