NEW YORK, June 24 (Reuters) - SAIC Inc (SAI.N), which provides technical services to the U.S. government, said on Tuesday that a former BAE Systems Plc (BAES.L) executive would assume its top post after the current chief executive steps down in September.
Walter Havenstein, former president and CEO of aerospace and defense company BAE's U.S. subsidiary, will become the head of SAIC in September, the company said in a statement.
SAIC said current CEO Ken Dahlberg had told the board that he would step down from his post in September, in accordance with the company's mandatory retirement policy for executive officers.
Dahlberg will continue as chairman of the board through the annual meeting of stockholders in June 2010. (Reporting by Deepa Seetharaman; Editing by Lisa Von Ahn)
