
(NSI News Source Info) EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif., - January 25, 2011: A Lockheed Martin [NYSE:LMT] F-35A Lightning II stealth fighter comes in for a landing at Edwards AFB, Calif., Saturday, Jan. 22, after a 3.2-hour ferry flight from Fort Worth, Texas.

The jet, known as AF-4, is the fifth F-35A conventional takeoff and landing aircraft to ferry to Edwards for testing. To date, the F-35 program has achieved 578 total test flights. (Lockheed Martin photo by Liz Kaszynski)
